Three days from now, summer of 2011 will finally end. And this article would be the last (most probably) entry on my blog. But ironically, it gave me a hard time choosing a topic. A topic that I could relate with.

The most striking economic issue I have thought is Corruption. This societal and political virus has entered the deepest root of our system.

This is the link: http://funwithgovernment.blogspot.com/2011/02/weekend-fun-12-marcos-corruption.html

Way back childhood years, my grandma never misses to tell me stories about World War I & II, Edsa Revolution, and other historical facts and events. One political and most influential person was the late Ferdinand Marcos. The most intellectual yet the most corrupt figure during their time. The taxes and funds that were supposed to be used in rising the economy turned out as their personal funds. They (politicians, as they say) used "our" money as a medium of corruption.

How pathetic, selfish individuals are they?! They only think of their personal benefits without even recognizing the rights of the masses. Shame on them!

But did you know where corruption started? Let me share this little wisdom. Corruption isn't all about "money" as we always picture out. It's more than a thing. It begins with ourselves. How?? When we deprive ourselves or maybe our thoughts with everything we have to know or learn. Thus, Ignorance is a form of corruption.

When you don't listen to your professor's lecture, when you're not doing your assignments, even when your not reviewing your lessons, you're starting to deprive yourself to learn. That is called self-corruption.

Come to think of it. Combat corruption. Don't let it control yourself!
