I've been thinking of what topic to share in this blog. Articles from a newspaper may seem to be the most common medium of getting an economic issue, so I resorted to watch a video from youtube.

What then comes into your mind when you hear the word "poverty"? Most of us may perhaps think of a negative picture. It is a scenario that we can't avoid but then we can always find a solution.

The flick was all about Sierra Leone, a place somewhere in West Africa and some economic problems they have been experiencing during the past years.

Poverty is a common economic problem of different countries most especially the "3rd world" countries.

While watching the video clip, I can't help but question myself. Questions like, "Why is there such thing like poverty?" and "What are some causes of poverty?". And now, I'm trying to answer that questions.

Geographically, Africa, as a whole is very rich when it comes to natural resources. But how come that they can't even provide a meal for themselves? Or even just a clean water? Children were scattered everywhere looking for something to eat. Some where filling up their containers with impure water.

I felt pity for them. A child of a young age should not be placed on that kind of situation because in the 1st place, they are the successors of this generation.

What a country needs in order to progress is not the money they have in their pockets or banks, but rather, it is vital for a country to MOVE and make stand not only for their selves but for the country as a whole. :)
