Have you opened your television lately? Or listened to your favorite radio station? Definitely, Yes! What's more fascinating the the Royal Wedding?

April 30, 2011 marked a very historical event that most of us may probably wish to experience. It was on that day when I realized that, "Fairy tales do come true." I know it's quite obvious that I'm talking about the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I won't discuss the details about their wedding but rather the issues behind it.
Some of you may think that this topic is not an economic issue, but mind you, it is! How much will it cost a couple for an ordinary wedding? In the Philippine setting, it will cost around P100,000 to millions. How much more when we say "Royal Wedding"?

Here's the link of my article:
http://bnn-news.com/2011/04/29/other-news/royal-wedding-costs-34-million-dollars

"The total costs of Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s wedding could amount to 34 million US dollars,.."

Thirty four million dollars spent on that lavish wedding! I personally would like to stress that very big amount that was used in such cultural and political activity. Yes, It's THEIR money they're spending and we have no control over that. But it could have been spent for food, water, medicine, and other necessities of those people living on streets, peasants begging for alms, and all those ragamuffins.

That amount could have been used to extend some help to those people who's life is at stake. It could have bought school supplies for students, equipments for health institutions, or materials for building a school.

But this amount were just wasted for such affair. If we all just have a little concern to the needs of others, we will learn to value every thing that we have. Let's not be greedy for everything, but instead, let's share something!
